I recently sold my 4 x 512MB PC2-5400 DDR2 Kingston HyperX memory and I am in need of advice as to what brand and speed memory to buy. I am set on getting 2 x 1GB modules. My specs are currently this:

Asus P5WD2 Premium WiFi/TV Tuner
Pentium 4 840D 3.2 Extreme Edition
BFG 7800GTX OC
2 x Plextor PX-716a DVD Burner
2 x 400GB HDDs
2 x 500GB HDD
SB X-Fi XtremeMusic
Onboard 10/100/1000 NIC

My processor is an 800MHz FSB CPU, but I am also thinking about Conroe when it arrives. I would like some opinions on what you guys recommend. Should I go for PC2-6400(DDR2-800)? Should I get PC2-5400 (DDR2-675)?
Is OCZ a good brand? How about Crucial? Or Corsair? My budget may not allow for Corsair.......

Is there any real world advantage to getting PC2-5400 over PC2-6400? Your opinions are very much appreciated.

I'm using PQI myself, and have been very happy with it. OCZ is a good brand, as well as Crucial and Corsair. Conroe motherboards should be support PC2-6400 but it's a bit pricey and your current motherboard most likely will only be able to run it at 667mhz unless you overclock. PC2-5300(667mhz) seems the best bang for the buck at the moment. The extra 8mhz of true PC5400 isn't really worth any sort of price differance, and a lot of ram labled as 5400 is actualy still just 667mhz.
