DDR2 and AM2 overclocking questions

What does the stock ddr2 speed run at 4200 speed? So what would be the 250fsb equivalent? Everyone says get teh ddr2 800, but those are the same people worrying about getting 275 fsb on their memory when it didn't make crap for real world differences.

Looking at some budget AM2 4000 overclocking when the prices come down.

Thanks

Yes but I figured it would get lost in the other thread so I posted it individually. Thank you for helping with the thread and answering my question. I am sure with you 66 posts and your 2 weeks of membership...you were entitled to that type of response.

Have a great day!

And btw...it did get lost in the other thread since that isn't what the other thread was about.

I was asking more about the ram not what I was going to end up with for a final overclock. Maybe I am asking it wrong.

Ram clockspeed helps mitigate the higher latency. Even so it probably doesn't make much of a difference unless you get horribly crappy RAM. DDR2 4200 runs at 533MHz effective clock, this is quite crappy, in my opinion, as I'd stick to either DDR2 667 or 800.
