Is it worth is to spend an extra $10 to go onto DDR2 800?

Will be putting on a small overclock with a Athlon 4200+.

How big is the difference in performance?

Help is greatly appreciated!

Performance difference is negligible, but for ten bucks I'd take it, it'll help you when you finally get around to reselling your rig in X years, especially if you part it out.

Depends on the mfr. Kingston DDR2 667 or 800 "N5 OEM" is very good. Stick with RAM module rated at 1.8V.

I'd take the 800Mhz for $10 more, it might be useful for future builds. Though I agree, for your current setting you should notice no difference whatsoever.
