I'm building a budget computer for my aunt (internet surfing, documents etc...) and with the budget she gave me, I can either get 1GB DDR2 667 with the 3800+ or 1GB DDR2 800 with the 3500+. I won't be oc'ing and I can't strech the budget. So which combination should I get?

TIA

Get the 3800+ with DDR2 667. The difference in memory performance won't be noticable.

agreed, the 3800 would be the best.you could most likley o/clock to 2.6mhz just by changing the htt and nothing else.most amd 64's will o/clock to the next level with just a change of htt.something like 12x220 or 12x215.it would be easy to do.no voltage change or anything else.try it you have nothing to loose.
