Zap! That would bring you up to how many total kits of stockpiled Ballistix/Ballistix Tracers?

Shhhh, if I don't think about it, it'll be okay...

Actually I sold off some of my stockpile locally, so I don't think I have any spare Ballistix (besides the ones I ordered from Buy.com). I think previously I only had one set of Tracers and one set of these Ballistix. The Tracers were sold to a buddy of mine who really wanted them. Don't even remember what happened to the other Ballistix, but I think I got rid of them because they didn't work (on initial POST) in my abit IP35-E.

Maybe I should get these anyways. I've actually had decent luck running four sticks on C2D setups. My gaming rig has four 1GB sticks of OCZ Reaper (bought way back around $90/pair AR, LOL) that are running overclocked without extra voltage (425MHz/850MHz at 2.1v while rated for 400MHz/800MHz at 2.2v, all CAS 4). This is on an Asus P5K-VM board.

I can put these in my main rig to replace the 2x2GB OCZ Vista kit for lower latencies. Oh wait, abit IP35-E. Well, they'll work if I use other RAM to pre-setup the board. Either way, been meaning to set up a second (or third) gaming rig.

WOOT! Dancing with the stars new season starts tonight!

If you have extra, just think of it/justify it like this ...

Back in early Jan. of '07, these kits were going for $250 or better !

Yeah, fully populating the mobo with RAM doesn't seem to cause near the amount of probs it used to.

GOt these when it was more expensive, clocked to about 1k@2.2 and relaxed timings. pretty decent at this price it's a steal.

Damn tempting and I don't even need them.

But yeah, I have 4 sticks of this. One 2x1gb kit I got a couple of years ago at the steal of a price of $200.

Yeah, the hp microns are different d9's, these d9gmh's can do roughly ddr2-1000 at 4-4-4-12 and ddr2-1200 at 5-5-5-15.

Sadly my board can only do 450 fsb =(

Caveat emptor guys, if they are newer sticks they are using inferior high density D9's that die even earlier than GMH/GKX. They also do not clock as well as older D9. You can identify them by the lack of clips on the heatspreaders. If you receive some of the older stock, make sure the heatspreaders are firmly planted onto the chips as the clips would apply uneven pressure and the bottom of the spreaders would often separate from the chips. Removing the spreaders may be even better as airflow has a better chance of reaching the PCB for dissipating the heat.

yes also got 4 sticks of these beauties, although they are good, they only clock to about DDR850.
