DDR video cards

this may sound like a stupid question but i'm new with all this DDR stuff.

can u use a DDR video card with a an IWILL KK266 or ASUS A7V133 mobo?
or can they only be used in DDR mobo's?

In theory DDR is twice the speed of SDR. In practice it's about 80%.

That is, a GF2 GTS with 166 MHz DDR memory is ~80% faster than a GF2 MX with 166 MHz SDR memory.

DDR video cards have DDR ram on the card, it doesn't make a difference what motherboard you use or wether your motherboard uses SDRAM, DDR, or Rambus. A DDR video card is refering to the memory on the card itself, not the system.

DDR ram works by utilizing the rising and falling clock cycle whereas sdr ram only uses the rising clock cycle, so in theory its twice as fast!
It really depends on the card, the original geforce ddr card cant compete with the gf2/gf3 ddr cards!
