DDR Speed right or wrong ?

heres the set up

athlon xp 2500 barton
asus a7n8x
kinston ddr-sdram pc 2700 1 gig worth .. running dual channel.

heres my question with this ram installed it says its running at 166 MHZ, being that its 2700 and that runs at 333 should it be running at that speed ?
or am I missing something here ?

DDR = Double Data Rate. In essence it is running at 166(.5)x2, which equals 333.

It's fine, as viivo pointed out the actual clock speed is doubled for DDR to get the effective clock speed.
