DDR Question.

So DDR is no big deal for a PIII but would it make a signiicant difference to dual processor boards?

If both processors are accessing memory simultaneously bandwidth is doubled - right...? Or are there architectural / exclusive access prohibitions on memory access?

Any thoughts...

The P6 AGTL+ bus (PPro, PII, Celeron, PIII) shares its bandwidth among all processors rather than "providing extra bandwidth" for each CPU like the point-to-point AMD EV6 bus.

Therefore the dual Pentium IIIs would not gain that much from DDR as it is still limited by the 133MHz FSB system bus.
