DDR PC2100 and PC2700 DDR RAM Question

Hi everybody I just have a question

I have a KT3 Ultra Mobo and XP 1800+ cpu and a 512mb stick of PC2700 DDR RAM
will adding another 512mb stick of PC2100 DDR Ram work? will this make both stick run at a PC2100 speed instead of 333mhz?

Thanks in advance

It will probably default to underclocking the PC2700 ram and if you try to overclock it, it might be unstable.
An Athlon machine technically can only use PC2100 ram anyway unless you overclock the fsb.

Do you really need a Gig of ram? And if you do, why not just get another stick of PC2700 ram if you're worried?
