I am leaning towards AMD for the computer I plan to build for college this coming summer. It looks as though DDR RAM performs a whole helluva lot better than the RAMBUS RAM on the Pentium4's. I would like to know which brand and/or chipset for the DDR motherboard you suggest. Also, I would like the motherboard to have several memory slots (at least three), as I plan to put at least 512 MB - 1 Gig of RAM in my machine since I do a tremendous amount of video editing (and gaming!
). Lastly, what type of clock speeds can I expect from AMD in July of '01, when I plan to build? Thanks.
