DDR Motherboard & RAM @ the computer Show

Went to the computer show in Gaithersburg, MD this weekend and one person had a DDR board, and RAM.... So Tempting, it was the Gigabyte board with the 761 Chipset. Looks like they did take one of the RAM slots off... Only two.

The real bite was that he wanted $250 for the motherboard, and $250 for a 128Meg stick of DDR Ram... Ouch...

I'll wait a couple of weeks when he doesn't have a monopoly on the DDR hardware...

Going to wait for the 1.2G AMD anyway... Noone seems to have one of those either...

There is a MarketPro Show in Timonium the weekend of 12/30 and 12/31. I am hoping to get down there and see what I can get my hands on. ;-)

When is the next show in Chantilly. Post-holiday shows could be interesting.

I'm holding off for about a month to see some reviews on the DDR Motherboards, and the word on stability...

heh, i drove by the fair grounds yesterday.. thinking "hrmm.. wonder when the next crap show will come into town"

I'm sorry, but that place has not been a good place for prices IMO... there are a few things you can go there to buy.. but the $6 entrance fee just tells me to go elsewhere and end up payin about the same.

I moved from Maryland to Michigan last year. You would not believe the "computer shows" here. Tables of old used junk and 4-5 new vendors. Sad. Rick
