DDR Memory Upgrade

I'm currently looking to upgrade to 2GB of DDR memory but am undecided as to what the best path to take is. I am using 2 x 512 OCZ Plats rev 2 on a x2 4800. Would it be better to buy a 2 x 1gig and sell my OCZs or buy another set of them used? Also, do the x2s suffer from 2T timing when using all 4 memory slots as the older 64s did? Thanks!

Please excuse the formatting of my rig page as I am having trouble updating it.

I just upgraded my ASUS A8N32-SLI and 4800 X2 socket 939 from 4 x 512 to 2 x 1 GB. You will definately be forced nto running 2T with 4 DIMMS. Two DIMMS will run at 1T. here is what I upgraded to.

Same product at Newegg

I have these DIMMS running at 460 mhz., 2-3-2-6 1T as advertised. I bumped the DDR voltage to 2.8v.

One question, were you able to get different timings at stock?

I didn't try any other voltages other than 2.8. Just the fact I went from 4 x 512 to these 2 x 1 GB DIMMS gave me the 1T I didn't have the option of before. My computer runs better with these for sure. I think the 159.99 price is a good price for high quality PC3200 memory. These are the HyperX. The free shipping is DSL ground. Took 5 days to get here. As long as MB has higher than 2.6 v. settings in the BIOS, you should be able to run these at 2-3-2-6 or thereabout. Like the specs state, the DIMMS SPD is 3-3-3-8 which I like because I can load them up on lesser boards that won't run a CAS LTENCY 2 module.
