DDR memory prices face possible collapse **UPDATE** "Things WILL get worse"

Yep, getting to make the plunge myself, matching up 1gb ram with an asus A7N8X mb, but main question will be the cpu and what fsb the cpu supports. but will definitely spend as high as possible and get the best I can cuz ain't gonna upgrade for awhile (wife'll kill me ). so if anyone has some recommendations based on that info, I'ld really appreciate it.
