I'd like to start messing around with my memory settings, what is everyone's opinions on the safe max voltage for my DDR?

System:
P4 1.6A
Asus P4B533-E
Corsair XMS PC3200

A review of various spec sheets on some DDR ram chips (Samsung, Kingmax, Infineon) says that the maximum normal operating voltage is 2.8v and the maximum allowable voltage is 3.2v.

just FYI: adding voltage to memory tends to make it run a bit slower ;) catch 22

(by slower i mean benchmark scores)

Corsair memory should not be run over 2.8 and you will invalidate your warranty if you go over that.
If you need more info go to the Corsair forums HERE.

I'm still working on my finalspeed/setup, I'm almost there and I'll post the final results in a different thread. My FSB is going to be between 150 and 154.

Unfortunately, I'm running two 256 sticks, I was impatient when I bought. I will buy one 512 stick later......;)

If performance is slower, is it even worth messing with memory settings?

Hm.. didn't know that. Could it be because it's running hotter/more power and requires more time to refresh itself?
