Well first off, lets try not to post a whole press-release, let alone 2 times, Gez, Repeating it and Making it bold doesn't make any difference as apoppin said these are Hitachi's Allegations...

Now, You seem to be Assuming, I would gather from that Court brief, that RAMBUS patented the Technology.. I can't remember where I read it, but they mentioned that RAMBUS was sueing because Hitachi and others are using IP on how to make SDR's and DDR's that RAMBUS holds patents on....
Now that may be RAMBUS' Allegations too though, as I can't find it to varify..

You can't possibly know everything about SDR and it's Fabrication, Developement and it's Inception... So since Hitachi chickened out on the day in court we don't really know which it is... Maybe RAMBUS has IP on SDR and DDR that Hitachi and others are using, maybe RAMBUS Patented a commonly used standard...
See it's Maybe... Unless of course you have a definitive answer and if it's that Allegations list from Hitachi don't post it again, it's ok, I read it the first time...

Ok guys, I think you're getting me all wrong! In no way I'm I suggesting Rambus is going to take over the memory market, I don't want you to think I'm paranoid. I simply don't believe they have any credibility behind their SDR/DDR patents (no not RDRAM patents), and that is simply my opinion. Hitachi's allegations are simply just that, allegations, though you don't walk into a United States court and make allegations w/o some facts or evidence. It never got to court, so maybe we'll never know the real reason (for now).

I was asked why I hate Rambus, and I was simply stating why, maybe I did it in the wrong way. If I believe or state Hitachi and Toshiba were sued because they were the more vulnerable of the bunch, then that's my position, and mine only. If all the reports/news/thoughts I've seen over the past few months (on various sites) about Rambus are all wrong then I'll start another thread and be the very first to apologize for hating a memory manufacturer for no reason at all. But until then my opinion about Rambus still stands.

No matter what, I'll always respect everyone?s view, that's what brings my back to this BBS.
