"Yes, but your HARD DRIVE WILL? can someone pls let me in on the secret? how do u o'clcok the bus beyond +10mhz & get realiable hard disk functions? What pci divider/mobo/hard drive are u people using? "
Most IDE drives will be fine up to a 150mhz FSB or so, but above that is dependant on the drive. The 75GXP's were the high FSB champs, but no one wants these anymore. The 60GXP's usually don't make it much over 160mhz. One solution is to get one of the Promise TX2 cards, either the Ultra 100 or the Fasttrack 100. They are designed to work in a 33mhz or 66mhz PCI slot, so they will handle FSB speeds in the 60's, but most other PCI cards will die far below that. Some of the newer boards like the Iwill XP333 will have a 1/5 and 1/6 PCI divisor so that @ speeds of 166mhz FSB, the PCI will fall back to spec @ 33mhz, and the same will happen @ 200mhz FSB with the 1/6 divisor. There are no AMD boards to date with this capability yet...
