It's a good price, I took a look at it. 700:1 contrast and 8ms are good specs. The only thing it's really lacking is a DVI interface, which is better than VGA. But that only matters if your video card has a DVI output.

I wouldn't worry about the rebate, I've gotten every one I've ever sent in to tigerdirect. If you're a competent person who can actually follow directions you'll get your rebate. If you happen to be one of those people who can't sign your name, don't send in the UPC, or can't be bothered to make a copy, you wouldn't deserve your rebate anyway. In fact, since it's with OnRebate you can pay a $5 fee and have your rebate back directly by PayPal 2 days after they get your form mailed in!
