I wasn't looking for a hack to play copied games. I was looking for some direction to the site which I was already at but forgot which is basically an update of all the current alternate uses for the DC. Sorry for not specifying. Please excuse my ignorance.
 
how is this a lockable thread? he is talkinga bout the DreamCast right? why cant you hack into it if its yours already? its like overclocking your processor.

Well, he never said NE thing about backups or copied games. There are a lot of different DC hacks such as converting it into a linux machine, making it a VCD player, an MP3 player. All of those are considered hacks.
 
you don't need to hack the DC to make it play illegal games. It's not like the playstation. Actually you can even make your dreamcast into an mp3 player or a VCD player. Kinda cool if you ask me.

well maybe you should not be so quick to jump on the bann/lock bandwagon and help a member who has not been here as long to understand the way things work around here.

wtf? this isnt bannable whatsoever. just like pc hardware hacking, i.e. connecting the bridges on Your AMD chip or turning a Radeon LE into a Radeon DDR, etc. NOT bannable, duh. chill out
