I had a miserable day yesterday described in this thread. Well things got a little worse. I told my boss that I'd get on this forum and ask for the best video capture solution - right after lunch. I got back to find a Dazzle DV-Editor Deluxe sitting on my desk. This thing is a piece of junk - but I need this bit of video captured in 2 hours, so hopefully someone here can get it working for me (they have a useless manual, a long distance phone support that isn't answered, and emails have gone unanswered for 18 hours now).

I'm using their MovieStar 5 program to capture the video from a camcorder. MovieStar 5 has 3 main functions, capture, edit, and produce. In the capture menu, I can fully control the video camera, but when I try to capture the video all I see is a blank capture window on the computer. Ignoring that, I go to the edit window and the video is suddenly there (the window is no longer all black). Editing works great. But when I go to produce it (ie save the video to disk) I get one of two things: (A) a blank movie that shows just black like I saw in the capture window earlier or (B) a movie that is all jarbled up.

Can anyone help me?
