check out his stats. he wasn't in his prime, but he was good for 20pts 7reb 4-5asts per game.

san antonio's last championship is a better example of a team w/ 1 superstar, IMO. i think D. Robinson was more past his prime than Drexler was.

Your right. I guess, having lived in Portland during the years that Drexler and company lost to MJ, i always think of Drexler as a Blazer and i forgot he was on that Houston team. 🙂

anyway, still goes to support the contention that most teams that have won it all have done so with 2 stars.

i don't think Either NJ or Spurs have 2 stars right now, tho KMart might be getting close to star status. and Ginobli looks pretty good to me as does Rose.
 
i'm surprised he found it so strange that a FAN would overreact. What does he expect from a FAN??

i've been a sports nut for most of my life. i take sports seriously. and i hate it when people make ludicrous claims like "NJ has NO chance".

my home team being in the east, i've taken offense when people are so quick to dismiss the east. i really hope that NJ beats (what looks to be) the Spurs.

last year, i actually put it in my sig that NJ would win in 7. maybe i jinxed them 🙁

actually i haven't gambled since i gave it up during my college years. Got into a lot of trouble gambling, but i also knew that offering a bet of 30:1 odds was a sure deal here. I knew he wouldn't come thru. 🙂

it's not a bet if it's a sure thing.
 
Nets have no chance in the finals. Assuming SA wins the west (which it seems they will now), they will beat the Nets in 5 games. The Nets aren't in the Mavs or Lakers class, much less the Spurs. To think otherwise is ignorant LeeTJ 🙂

I will offer a bet. I cannot go $300 because I have a baby on the way. However I am willing to put up $25 for bragging rights. If you are man enough that is 😉 Whoever loses paypals the winner of the bet, which is that SA will beat the Nets in the finals (# of games irrelevant)

apparently you can't read. And you have less than even the smallest bit of confidence in your own predictions. Odds i offered was 30:1. I've never claimed the Nets had better than even odds. You however HAVE claimed so and do even now. So if your going to put up $25, than i'll put up my $1.00. I offered 30:1 odds, i can live with 25:1 odds.

This is about your comments that whichever team wins (mavs or Spurs) are a sure thing to win against NJ.

IF they are a sure thing, why should i give you 1:1 odds?

I know that the Nets go in as Underdogs, I've never quibbled with that. BUT underdogs HAVE been known to win.

As to your counter offer, that is ludicrous because it settles NOTHING.

Unless you are willing to concede that NJ does have a chance and not ZERO chance as you've claimed.
