Iam ready to spring ahead. Lately, when I leave for work, the sun is coming up. I am used to commuting in the dark.

Has nothing to do with growing a pair, it has to do with the fact that it's a completely useless system.

That said, I work night shift tonight, so my 12 hour shift is cut to 11 and I still get paid for 12, so can't complain too much. It was kinda nice that it was starting to be light out at 7am though, but it will be that way in a month from now anyway as the days start to get longer.

Back to it being dark in the morning for a while. Overall this was rather uneventful though, which is nice. Most of the stuff is automated and the stuff that's not gets done by other techs, so I did not really need to do anything. Oh maybe I should go do the clock in the lunch room. :p

The nice thing about the clock change thing is that it means summer is closer. Just need to get through a couple more winter storms and it should start to all melt.

Just leave it on standard time. DST does nothing but screw up people's sleep and actually costs more in electricity in the summer with people having to run the AC more later in the day from getting home with the sun still high in the sky. I mean, if they left it on standard time it would get dark out at 8PM in the summer instead of 9PM. That's late enough. Hawaii and Arizona have it right.

Stupid time change, now it's dark forever in the morning and the sun won't leave me alone til 8pm+, just what Florida needs, more sunshine time...

Today really sucks. Getting up at 4:15 AM for work is bad enough but when its on a day like this it really sucks.

you don't lose anything

time is not "lost"
an arbitrary number is simply changed

if the number is arbitrary, then perhaps they should make the time change occur on Monday around 2 PM. I wouldn't mind a shorter workday instead of a shorter weekend :)

I actually woke up feeling fine today. Stayed up until about 12:30 am last night but I didn't even realize the time change yet until it was still light out. I'll probably be more tired tomorrow when I get up at my normal time.
