take that. One less day of vacation remains. Soon it will be two days down. Then three. Then before you know it, you're on the way back home.
Vacations are depressing. So awesome while it happens, then it's just boom, back to normal life and awww, this shit sucks.

Not that I won't take and enjoy any and all vacations possible, I just hate when they end and the next few days after.
Went to the hill country area of Texas to visit my sister for a week. Great weather, had a kickass time, and just enjoyed the lack of responsibilities. For the first few days after returning home, I was dreading school starting back up (this was spring break), and pretty sure I had clinical depression. I was just bummed, and daydreaming about the fun. Had to kick myself a few times to get that out of my head and get back to normal. School actually starting up helped that, as I did just have a few days of absolutely nothing in-between the vacation and school resuming.

After being one of those kids on quite a few vacations, I could definitely see this being true. But living in Ohio, and going anywhere even with annoying kids, is still amazing... and depressing to return to Ohio. 😉
Unless said vacation is with two kids both in their teens. Then no matter what, there will be moments of hell, a hell where it could be oh so satisfying to just ki.. dump the kids off somewhere random for a long while.
