You sir are correct. Looks like I got riped off hard buying the "Collectors Edition". In essence I paid 25$ for a crappy T-Shirt. Thanks Valve... you make me feel special! :(
That also means that I will not be playing DoD. I wait for Call of Duty2 and spend my money on that. Too bad, I was looking forward to something new to hold me over.
I do feel ripped never the less! Valve makes good games, but that customer service thing is not their forte (brings back memories of the Steam disaster on release day).

As far as I know Valve had no control over the retail packages. That was Vivendi. They are the ones that suck. In fact IIRC Valve could have released the game early if not for the fact that they had to wait for the release date set by Vivendi...

I bought the Silver package over Steam and I have never had any problems. I wish more games had a "Steam" like system. I know I am one of the few....
