Wells has back issues so I'm glad sox got him. As for Pedro I'm pretty sure he'll end up a red sox.

I would hardly call the padres purgatory...If I had to choose place to spend my days playing baseball...I cant think of many places better than San Diego and Petco Park, especially if I was a pitcher.

The A's will NEVER trade Hudson to the Red Sox. He will go to a NL team, the A's are not going to trade him to someone they are fighting with for the playoffs. That being said, If they offer WAY over the top, I cant see the A's passing it up. Who do the Red Sox have that the A's would want?

Hudson's a Free Agent.

I wish MLB would let the A's move down to Santa Clara so they could draw better which would enable them to keep all their great players instead of constantly losing them to Free Agency.

Hudson still has 1 year left until he is a free agent (otherwise, no one would care for Pavano(sp?)), but trade talks are going wild.

There was a quote in the LA Times yesterday from Billy. He said he had no problems trading with a contending team (ie Angels). The first priority is how the deal benefits his team.

Yeah, but I cant see how trading A top tier pitcher to a direct contender would benefit his team. the A's would REALLY have to get a lot. I wish the could have pulled off the trade to the Phils for Chase Utley and Ryan madson.
