I can never understand why all my friends are obsessed with DMB. Like everyone. Hell I love a lot of music, everything from Bruce Springsteen to Metallica to The Beach Boys to ACDC to Classical, but I have never found any DMB song that I liked or was entertained by. It's not that I think they are trash, I just don't even feel their music.

That and everyone at their concerts is pot heads and high school kids trying to act cool by drinking.

DMB songs seem to fall well short of their potential. They start off okay, then for some reason they completely change the flow of the song, Dave ups his voice 13 or 14 octaves, and it starts to suck. I was listening to a song called "Two by Two" or something to that effect the other day. That's a prime example of this "Dave Matthews Effect" that seems to occur on most of his songs.

 You make no sense. "Two by Two?" Do you mean "Two Step?"

Fall well short of their potential? Riiiiight.

two step, another amazing Lillywhite+DMB composition. compare the ballard or batson BS with even just the intro to two step and it's night and day.

They played JTR during the concert I went to in Charlotte and I about nearly lost it. I fuggin' LOVE that song.

And that new one that they've been sampling, "Shotgun" BUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUURN! :p

"Stay or Leave" --- high octaves and change in direction halfway through.

Sounds great to me though
DMB is like Tea; you have to be a connoisseur to appreciate its blandness

When I visit you while your resting calmly in your pine box during final viewing, I'll be wearing a DMB t-shirt and will throw in an atomic-powered iPod and speakers with you so that you can listen to DMB for the rest of eternity.

Yeah. Dave's voice is fine until he starts to get too squeaky, then I cringe listening to it. It's a shame, because they can take something that I like and completely ruin it halfway through.

Ah, well. I'll stick to the old school.
