Datelessness = Fanboyism?

I just read another tech blog that ventured in how PCs should come with no OS and let the consumer choose. My conclusion, the guy does not understand what the consumer is.

But, while reading all that, it made me think of all the fanboys I have encountered. Is it just me, or does there seem to be an observable link between the degree of datelessness and the intensity of the fanboy feelings? Is fanboyism a substitute for a lack of nooky? Or is fanboyism the cause of lack of nooky? Hmmm

;)

Bzzzt. Oh, wrong answer. Thanks for playing.

I called it nooky because I sugar-coat what I type online.

They need to have something to love. If womenz don't work out, then electronics is the way to go.

I don't get any action, I use Linux, and I think people who bitch about bundling OS's with PC's are retarded.

I completely defy your logic, and yet, I still lose.

Interesting.

I'm actionless, but I'm not a fanboy. Windows annoys me a lot, but the people who rave about Macs annoy me even more. So many of my friends are Mac fanboys - something I simply don't understand. Today I was talking about the Orange Box with some people and my best buddy comes over. He says "Is it coming out for Mac?" I just laughed. It was also funny to observe the reaction of a friend when I told him that his C2D/X1600 could indeed run CoD2 quite well with Boot Camp. He was soooo happy. They don't get games often. :D

Seems true to me. The people I know who date regularly have less time and money than those of us who don't. The married ones are even worse off. Almost all of their free time goes to their family or working harder to pay for their family. With such limitations it is much more difficult for them to spend a lot of time and enthusiasm on other subjects.

there's a reason boxers don't have sex while they train. it's the same reason fanbois don't have sex - can't have any distractions in the quest to pwn at Halo 3

that said, it's not the sex so much as the strings that come with it. this is where escorts come into play.

I think you're just jealous that you don't pwn at WoW

Interesting.

That's profoundly uninteresting...

well if you ain't banging or trying to bang, you have to find something to occupy your time.

I am a fanboy of some things (movies, comics, computers) ... but I have had plenty of dates and did pretty well at sealing the deal. I will say though that when I was on the hunt, my hobbies took a backburner.

I wouldn't say I'm a fanboy of anything in particular...just of any quality product that works as desired for long periods of time...oh, and Lotus cars. ;)

I don't really date anymore though. I've been exclusive with my wife since we met 17 years ago.

If that correlation always held true, I think I'd need to shave my head to make room for a tatoo of a videocard company's logo. My sig would be an ASCII representation of the logo, and my username would incorporate said company. I'd have a Youtube username, and I'd have a video like Chris Crocker's, whining and crying about people dissing my favorite videocard.
