Database Programs?

I posted this in the software forum, but no one responded. Here goes: My dad has a lot of papers lying around, and he wants to get organized. He wants to scan them, put them on a CD, and be able to search for keywords inside the document. Does anyone know of any programs that can do that? If it doesn?t exist, can you think of any other solutions? Thanks

SQL server is a overkill, like shooting a fly with a shotgun.

If the database will be reasonably small, I'd suggest MS Access, and if it gets larger seek for a more powerful and faster solution than SQL server.

OOps good point. We have Oracle8i, Microsoft Access, and SQl Server here at the office.

I completely forgot about MS Access. We use it to log support calls. It would be perfect for what he's claiming.

andri, remember I asked how many papers he had. I'm not a complete idiot. 🙂
