Is it possible to recover data from a dead hard drive (not spinning at all)? If so, how much does it cost? I have a dead IBM 10 GB hard drive.. 😡
 
How big is the file? Try hitting it agaist the disk. May unstick it, so it works for another 5-10 minutes. Or, you could open it up and spin by hand.
may let u get a few k off 🙂

Actually I did have a surge protector. My power supply blew up, and killed everything. I still don't know how it just went off like that.
