About a month ago I deleted an excel file off my desktop. Now, turns out I need the file again. Are there any programs out there that could possibly recover this file? I tried this one called PC Inspector, but it didn't find the file.
 
Depend on how often you used on your computer after you deleted your files. I would say the chance is low but if you really need the data back. Send it to professional data recovery firm.
