data recovery problem

i have a very weird thing happen .....

i was managing my dvd rip collection over the network (windows share)
i (very stupidly) erased a folder with 125 DVDs .... it would be a pain to re rid them all (and transfer them again over the network.

i run a bunch of recovery software but none of them can recover the files ,,,they all show as being 0ko .... there was other smaller files in the folder no problem with them....

i was thinking it was because the recovery software are somehow limited to 2Gb and the rip are 4.5?
any idea?

first, disconnect this pc from the internet, you dont want any new data written the hd in terms of product updates, etc. dont install or remove any programs on that drive.

purchase a copy of File Scavenger v3. 125 dvds is a lot of data, gigabytes... youll need another hd to restore the data to that can hold at least 5gigs.

Being able to successfully recover that much data is a major project, that app would be able to do the task. if your wrote any new data to the hd since this happened or your os is 98 or ME, the data will be that much harder to recover.
