Data error?

I was just copying back my mp3s from a backup CD and got this error. WTF?

"Cannot copy file: Data error (cyclic redundancy check)"

have you tried copying it from a different drive, or did you get the same results? that happened to me alot with those silver top compusa cdrs.. didnt last past a year.. that's why i always get taiyo yuden/fuji cdrs..
