This is assuming that it really happened. They're looking to convict this woman based only on the testimony of a 7-year-old.

"Experts in sexual abuse at the Children's Advocacy Center in Covington interviewed the boy and concluded he had been raped repeatedly by his mother, Tate said."

Him too :p

I've seen it spelled both ways. The latter the most though. I dunno where the hell the O went to but still see it start with E. I ain't too hip to Greek.

I guy near where I live had a dream that his 16 month old nephew, that was staying with them, was evil and possessed by the devil
so he beat the baby to death with a baby bottle. :Q:(

Before that they kept the baby in a crib that had only a piece of carpet on the springs. They only fed him milk and juice and never took
him out of the crib.

Sick, Sick, Sick!!!

This is where I first read the story.

Hopefully it's false. But it wouldn't be the first time US justice-system over-reacts in cases like this. There have been cases in USA that even made headlines in Finland (usually along the lines "Those crazy americans are at it again!"). Examples include:

6-year old boy hugs 5-year old girl in daycare. He gets sued for sexual harassment

7 year old boy slaps his younger sister on the ass. Police handcuff him, accuse him of incest and take him to a foster-care for 10 days. Boy wasn't even US-citizen if I remember correctly

Two teen girls hug each other (as in greeting each other) in highschool hallway. They get suspended because "hugging can lead to other kinds of sexual acts"

I lived in Covington for about three years. That was over ten years ago though. Hated that town!

Sick, but hardly new. I man I know was raped repeatedly by his father, and apparently female relatives do the same.

WTF is up with the last line, that because the boy is under 12 she COULD get the death penalty? I fail to see how age should have anything to do with this... if my girlfriend was raped, and I found out who did it, the bastard better damn well hope he gets locked up far, far away where I can't shoot him myself.

Really though, rape implies it isn't voluntary. How does that have anything to do with age? Why is it worse to rape, say, an 8 year old girl versus a 22 year old woman? Personally, I think we need more strict laws for both cases. Sexual animals should not be allowed the future opportunities to breed and make more of them.

its true many times these things are just total bull:p overzealous investigations result in false testimony since kids figure out what you want them to say, and they are eager to please:p i never wrote about being raped, but some of the pictures kids draw are pretty sick when you look back at it:)

ithat being said, how does a woman rape a 7 year old boy? its just kinda harder to believe then other cases i guess.

i think theres a constant level of sick in the world:p theres genocide/murder happenin somewhere all the time:p

and whut, no pics of the mom? we've seen pics of all the other twisted women:p

Keep in mind the McMartin case in Callif. some years back. Many peoples lives were totally destroyed by the "allegations" of children. It was finally determined that the "experts" who interviewed the children were biased and led the kids into making the derogatory statements.

I must reserve my judgment until all the facts are in.

hrmm.. she "raped" him, or she molested him as in fondled, etc. ? raped implies she had forced genital sexual intercourse, which might be difficult for a 7 year old who hasnt gone thru puberty.

Read an article a month or two back that some mothers in Japan give their sons oral sex as motivation to do better in school.

Now that one just threw me for a loop. But, I wouldn't doubt it. After all, Japanese men buy dirty panties from vending machines to sniff. Who knows what goes on in their society.
