Darwin strikes again; Teen Who Hit SUV With Eggs Slain

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - A 14-year-old boy who was throwing eggs at cars along with two other teenagers was shot and killed by someone who had been in a sport utility vehicle that was hit, police said.

Danny Crawford was killed by a gunshot wound to his upper body, Franklin County Coroner Brad Lewis said. He died in an alley on the city's west side early Saturday, authorities said.

The teens were throwing eggs at cars when an SUV that was struck chased them, Detective Tim Huston said. The vehicle stopped and several gunshots were fired, he said.

Police were looking for the shooter, who fled in the SUV, Sgt. Dana Norman said. The SUV believed to be involved was found a short time later near where Crawford died.

The other teens were not hurt, police said.

Ive been hit with rocks before on more than one occasion. Extremely fustrating. After getting hit each time, I always pull over and call the cops. If noone bothers to call them like I do, eventually someone might get shot....and apparently someone did.

The easy thing to do would have been to report the eggers and have the police pick them up. What made them think it was ok to shoot and kill someone?

I hope they catch the shooter.

Darwin would have been the kid throwing eggs at the car which hit the windshield so that the driver can't see, then the car slams into the egg thrower.

I remember once I was driving on the highway and somebody shot a BB gun at me. Missed my right eye by about an inch (keep in mind i was doing ~60mph) and hit my drivers side window, cracking it. I can't imagine what would've happened had it hit me...i'd probably at the very least be missing an eye, and likely would've crashed my car.

But yeah, kids with eggs wouldn't piss me off so much as kids with guns.

It's not as bad as the cases where kids get up on an over pass and drop rocks on the cars passing on the freeway, but I'd be super pissed if my car got egged by some little punks on the side of the road. I don't own a gun, and I wouldn't use one if I did in a case like that, but I'd certainly chase them down and call the cops.

plus, it's more amusing when the police catch the egger. The police break the eggs on the egger's hand. Then, the egger runs to ATOT to whine about the police brutality.

uhhhh, was the shooter inside the car? How did it hit the window after missing your eye?

So, in your eyes, throwing an egg at someone's car is justification for committing murder?

I'm going to go out on a limb here and assume the idiot who killed the kid is a career criminal and this isn't the first time he'll be in prison. Hopefully, someone will off this jackass soon. He deserves it.
