That's the name of an interesting article worth a read. Ryu at Tech Report contends that there's still a PCI problem lurking in the lVIA KT266A chipset!
you know ...i've read this in another post....but my gripe is with the benchmarks.....they all pretty much have the kt266a chipset in front if not rite there beside the competition........what's up with that!!!
if there was a problem with a slow or resticted pci bus ...it would show up in some real world benches would'nt it.???...but it dosent....the kt266a is fast if not faster in "ALL"...the benches....
edit...and if it is indeed true....who cares ...it dosent effect anything im runnin.....you sure could'nt tell by the way my epox run's......fast as he$$ and o/c's way beond anything i've had before.....lol...😉
This only affects you if you use RAID or a PCI IDE/SCSI card to hook up your drives. If you use the onboard eide connectors, this bug doesn't affect you in any way on the new southbridges bundled with KT266A and P4X266 altough it does if you have the infamous 686b southbridge.
