Darrelle Revis is "reportedly" asking for......

What's scary is that I don't think I've even heard of the next highest paid CB @ 10Mil...Dunta Robinson? Who?

Sucks for the Jets. They were in line for a championship contending team.

In an uncapped year that's actually not a bad starting price. I'd expect it to be brought way down with a massive signing bonus, or the contract will be front loaded onto this year with performance incentives and a couple roster bonuses thrown in.

*sigh*, I'm still not sure what the NFL was thinking when ditching salary caps.

The owners opted out to force the union to come to the table. Rookie salaries are out of control and the owners want the players to cough up some dough for the stadiums they play in.

Also, the salary floor was also removed as well as the cap, so a team could theoretically only spend around 30 million dollars and field a full team. It would be a shitty team, but a team regardless.

They'd have to heavily front load that contract. While this is an uncapped year, don't expect that to last. Nobody wants to mess with the golden goose the NFL currently is, but as someone else said, the owners wanted to make the players concede on a few contract issues, most importantly the rookie salaries (when you have a guy that's never played a game making more money than Peyton Manning, something's a bit goofy).

As good as he his, he's not worth $20 million per year. That's Quarterback money. And only if you're an invaluable QB to your team. Besides, it's near impossible to find corners who perform at the highest level year after year consistantly like a top QB can.

$10 million/yr is the top a team should pay for a quality cornerback.

Damn, you guys beat me to the punch and have already ripped on using "MM" for millions. 🙁

Looks like I'm gonna have to cuss out the Starbucks barista again for leaving too much room for cream in my coffee, so I can feel better about myself today. 😀

What's so hard about K, M, and B?
M, MM, MMM? meh

reinventing the wheel isn't always necessary 😉

Reinventing the wheel? The M, MM, MMM system is based off of Roman numerals and therefore has been around a LOT longer than your system. Yours is the one that reinvented the wheel.

The rich just want to get richer. That's like your company asking you to chip in for the lease on their office space. And that office was partly paid for by taxpayer funds (in most cases).
