I'm a contractor in Baghdad and my coworkers and I noticed the new design on the side of the Pepsi Diet cans. It seems to show 2 towers, which look a lot like the twin towers, in a large city with 2 planes flying around them. Seems like a pretty offensive choice if you are American but maybe a good marketing choice in this part of the world.

err. what do you guys think? personally it think the people are idiots. We need to get over 9/11 (don't forget it but don't look so hard at images) .

You have to ask yourself a few questions first:

Do they have planes in that part of the world?

Do they have large skyscrapers in that part of the world?

Do said planes fly over said skyscrapers?

Spokesperson from Pepsi said they were using Dubai as the example but I doubt it, looks like marketing to me, remember that many Muslims consider those who committed 911 martyr's..

how did i miss that? Pepsi is actually saying that buildings should be hitting (Muslim and Arabic like pepsi cares etc) planes out of the air! A reverse 9/11! my god that is fantastic!

There is nothing offensive at all about that image. When Americans complain about such things it makes me a bit embarrassed to be of the same nationality.

no embarresed. but when people look for something to get upset about (such as the picture and article) it is amusing. Don't forget it happened but then don't look to hard for something that is going to upset you either.

nobody is saying don't look at it. but there is no reason to look for something that is not there.
