Darn. Verizon raised DSL rates on me!

I use to get their 3MB DSL package for $34.99/month, now it's $41.99/month.

Just for fvcking DSL! (No TV, no phone line)

Otherwise, I really have no complaints about their service.

My real only complaint: Where the fvck is FIOS in the District???

Anyway, let the inflation continue!

damn, that is expensive! I pay $40 for 10mb/1mb on cable internet. Is it higher because you dont have a phone line (i.e. naked dsl) or just because? It seems expensive for dsl, especially 3mb/384kbps

I used to have $14.99 DSL (768 speed) and it went up to $21.99. FIOS is available in our area but that's double the cost. ($42.99 + taxes)

That sucks... would be nice if there was an option for the folks who want a quality (low latency) connection but don't need gobs of bandwidth. Ya know... something like 256/256 or 128/256 DSL for like $10 per month.

I thought the PSC (Public Service Commission) had to approve price hikes for services such as internet, tv and phone. I can't imagine they would raise rates without any warning given, as they would have to go through the entire process of getting it approved with the states PSC. Unless you were on some sort of introductory rate?

Paying 39.99/mo for 1.5Mb/856Kb for the summer... then right back to canceling for the other 9 months.

Paying 130 a month for 6mpbs net/digital phone/ digital cabel with dvr/starz/hbo/show time and HD channels.

hmmm I'm going to have to check this out next time they bill me. i too have DSL 3Mb as my fastest option in Rockville, MD here, but it's because my apartment building is wired w/this crappy MDU cable service and DSL is the only other option.

my current DSL bill is $35/mo i believe too.

Everyone around me has FIOS except my complex. I swear, it's like a circle and there is this dot in the middle that represents my complex with no FIOS.

Same rate on my Verizon DSL .. call them up and ask about locking in the $34.99 mo. price. They will set you up with what they call a 'lifetime' contract of 2 years, and that locks the price in at your reduced rate.
