Darn! Getting a cold...

I usually go on Monday's to the gym (martial arts gym) and workout....mostly kickboxing training and 45 min of cardio on top. I sweat buckets and the training sessions are very hard core.

Would i be better served just resting to beat the cold, or would the exercise help my body raise its temperature and kill of the little bastards?

lots of water.
Nyquil (regular blue/green nighttime stuff)
lots of sleep.

Sleep is best for your body's recovery. Nyquil will help you stay asleep (you may not think you're waking up in the night but the coughing and stuffy nose does wake your body; and all that waking results in a ****** morning, too).

The oncoming cold is your body's method of telling you that it has been pushed a little too far and needs an opportunity to rest.
Come in from the rain, watch a movie, and take a break for an evening or two.

I've found that when I exercise hard while getting sick or feeling sick, the sickness is worse. My take is that we know the body puts a lot of resources into helping me recover from intense exercise. It's why i'm hungrier and sleep longer afterwards. Those are resources that my body can't use to fight off an illness. I don't see how this can help.

Ok. Everyone's points make sense about not working out. Just felt guilty because I didn't do anything yesterday (got a good mountain bike ride in on Saturday though).

Thanks for the advice.
