Darkened lines on laptop LCD?

I own an Inspiron 8500, and I recently sent it in to the repair deport (still under warranty) because the plastic around the keyboard came unglued and the LCD hinge was loose. Anyway, when I received and inspected it late last week, it appeared the service rep may have replaced the LCD altogether (there were no longer finger smudges on the screen itself, and the back of the LCD no longer looked worn down).

However, towards the top of the (maybe) new LCD, there are a few darkened lines that are always present, creating an almost burn-in effect. In addition, there is a little light spot on the bottom right corner of the screen, which is especially noticeable on the Windows Welcome Screen.

My question is, how would I describe this to the service rep (over the phone) short of taking a picture and posting it on a Web site? Also, do you think I'd have a case for arguing for a new laptop altogether (I'm aware that it would probably be refurbished, but I've had service issues on this machine at least seven times now...twice to get the motherboard replaced, once to get a replacement AC adapter, once to replace the right speaker, once to replace a 4200rpm HDD that was supposed to be 5400rpm, once to get the single 512MB DIMM of memory I paid extra for, and now to get the casing reglued and LCD hinge tightened)?
