Ok theres a dark spot in the middle bottom of the screen for my acer h5360. Its not completely blacked out but it is def darkened. What has caused this. Is the bulb going bad already?. The pic itself looks amazing but that one dark spot is very concerning. Its not completely blackened out but it is very faded. if its a dark scene I cant see anything in that spot but if its a light scene I can see everything just its very darkened.

Exact spot diagram

1 2 3
4 5 6
7 8 9

If this diagram is the picture then number 8 would be where it is darkened out. Now mind you I can see whats there its just a little bit darker then the rest of the screen

when i had a dlp projector years ago, any spots i saw on the projection screen came from dust on the lens. hold a piece of paper close to the front of the project and move it back and forth until the dusts on the lens are in focus. if you see a spot corresponding to the dark spot, just blow it off with a clean air source.

Common... Dust..

Sometimes the bulbs are sealed but dust gets inside anyway. They're usually a bit difficult to get apart but it's possible.

Other times the bulb is its own unit, and you have to get into the projector internals.

Suck, not blow.

Taking the cover off is fine, but don't mess with the optics. A small millimeter off = a lot off on the big screen.

Dust. Would happen with my hd70 every now and then. When my bulb was getting to go out, the whole image got darker.

see this is in a weird shape in the bottom center of my screen it goes up to the middle part on a small part of it. I think its dust and not the bulb because of the shape it projects on the screen its very weird.
