Dark Souls 2 release tomorrow. Who here is going to a midnight release to pick it up?

I have mine preordered from Amazon, simply because I hate gamestop. I hope it comes in tomorrow, although it still hasn't shipped yet...

Let's hope the sequel lives up to the past two games 😀
 
Going to pick it up? No. Have it delivered to my house on release day? You know it! Mine was billed and is preparing to ship now.

I got it for PS3, only because my 360 isn't hooked up.

If any of you want to add me, I believe my PSN is 'keke zerg rush'. I will have to make sure when I get home though.

I have really been avoiding all information about this! I want to go in completely blind and have to discover everything myself.

Nope, still have to play the first. I got it during the Holiday Sale, just because it was a $6 game people say has a high level of difficulty (and I'd like to give that a try). If I like it, I'll look into the PC version if it's better than this allegedly-terrible PC port of the first.

They did say that they built DS2 for the PC too, no ports. It is a proper PC game this time.

I may get it later on down the line and try it out. I played the first one and kind of hated it for various reasons but if there's a good sale I'd be willing to give it a try sometime later on.

Make sure to try Dark Souls 1 with DSFix and, if possible, an xbox controller. Makes a big difference.
 
All reviews show that it's the best one yet, and the game has changed enough so that even Dark Souls 1/Demon's Souls veterans will need to re-learn it. I have my CE out for delivery right now for the PS3 and I'm so excited. I love The Last of Us, but this series is probably my "Best of PS3".
 
I was a bit worried when my shipping hadn't updated as of late last night. Thankfully, this morning it is out for delivery! Can't wait to play this when I get home. Titanfall can wait!

According to FEDEX, it received the shipment information at 1AM and that is it. According to Amazon, it is out for delivery. We will see, I suppose.

Also, a NA PC Collector's Edition has been announced.

It comes with everything the console version does minus the actual game disc (it comes with a Steam digital download voucher). If you're talking about the bonus in-game items, I'm sure it'll come with those.

It didn't look like it came with the t-shirt. I didn't look too hard though.
 
You knew these guys where destined for greatness back in the Kingsfield days. I had all but givin up on consoles late in the PS2/Xbox days, but Demons Souls and Drake brought me back..
 
I'm hoping this game is not a lag-fest like the last one. It was almost unplayable in certain areas on my PS3.

I played Armored Core before I played King's Field, but I agree. They've made some great games (and sadly, some bad games AC: Verdict Day...)


I am so hoping this is delivered by the time I get home! I don't want to wait. I have a feeling this is going to be a long night.

I was watching a stream of someone playing it and when looking at the water it hit some frame rate issues. Now, the water itself looked amazing. But the game sure slowed down.

I'm hearing it suffers from some lag as well 🙁

That was the best part of the PC version. 60fps, no lag.
 
I would get the CE for PC, but I have GCU from Best Buy and so I saved 20% on it and the PC CE isn't being sold by Best Buy. I will probably either just keep this one sealed and get the PC version digitally once it's released, or play this one for now and then switch to PC when released.

I pick one game/series per console that I "collect" since I can't spend a ton of money on collector items, and this is it for the PS3.
