I love Cate Blanchett. She's one of the most appealing women in Hollywood. She was brilliant in Aviator. I don't think she's the action type though. Then again, some of these actresses (and actors) that we see show up in action roles, we never would have considered it beforehand.

I agree. Batman Begins was the better movie. Dark Knight was good but overrated because of the whole Ledger incident.

Christian Bale can't act? He's an Oscar winner with quite a few other awards and nominations. He is in outstanding actor. He was lousy in Terminator Salvation because...Terminator Salvation was lousy. A horrible director and a horrible movie will make anyone look bad. Does anyone here think Liam Neeson is a poor actor? If you only saw The Phantom Menace, you'd think he was.
 
Skipping from page 1 to 8, i have not seen if ANYONE brought this up.

But what about athletic ability?

I do not want to see a bunch of cut-aways showing a stunt double or CGI replacement leaping around the screen.

Acting is important, as that one chick from the Watchmen proved (decent moves, very attractive, LOUSY acting), and you do need someone reasonably attractive to believe that Bruce/Batman would ever fall for her, but someone that thinks "Martial Arts" are paintings of soldiers would not be the best one to cast in an action flik.......
