Dark Knight Rises: Bane sounds like Deckard Cain from Diablo 2

His voice kept bothering me through the whole movie... then I realized... it was Deckard Cain!

Stay a while...and listen!

And deckard cain sounds more like sean connery.

The only problem with Bane's voice was the lack of explanation. I mean, for his mask, we basically got 'it holds his face together.' Internet research turns up 'it gives him an analgesic gas.'

Nothing ever mentions a voice synthesizer or some such to explain Tom Hardy's heavily processed voice. But I liked it (the voice Hardy came up with). It executed the 'brutal genius' thing pretty well.

No accent at all.

Honestly the Deckard Cain thing wears off once you hear more of him. It's just a similar tone, mixed with that little Connery-esque end on most of his phrases.

I believe the accent was supposed to have some kind of Carribean tinge (re: Bane). No idea why.
