TDK will pass Star Wars for 2nd largest unadjusted domestic gross of all time on Saturday, its 30th day of release.

Assuming it has a box office run of roughly 90 days (which is typical for movies in the $400 million club), the domestic gross should end up somewhere north of $500 million (I'm betting on $510 million).

You know when you hear people talk shit about women in movies that you know they would shit shelves irl if they were given the time of day by them? She's that rare creature that would justify that tired sentiment.Her brother has a better face than she does and that's from someone who's comfortably heterosexual. There's just something seriously wrong with her face, it might be chromosomal.

TDK passed Star Wars on Saturday; the weekend estimate is $16.8 million, which means it grabbed second place in the weekend box office. Tropic Thunder grabbed first with $26 million. The Clone Wars got third at $15.5 million.

One reason for TDK's record breaking gross is the amount of drop-off it is seeing week-to-week. It began losing roughly 50% week-to-week, but now is only losing 40%. Pineapple Express, in contrast, lost 60% week-to-week.

In sadder news, X-Files debuted with a pathetic $10.2 million, putting it in 4th place. I think the studios were about 6-7 years too late with this movie.

I was thinking of seeing X-Files this weekend, but it was gone from the local theatre already.

I liked Dark Knight, but Batman Begins was much better, and I agree on Gyllenhall. Why would anyone have cast her in that role? Like the richest, most eligible bachelor in the city would really be attracted to Ms. Plain Jane over all the hotties he had on each arm. At least they did the right thing and killed her off.
