Has anyone ever heard the Harmon Kardon HK-595 2.1 system?
It's available as a Dell upgrade option. A friend of mine bought a Dell and upgraded it to these speakers and I was very impressed.
What I was most surprised at was the richness of the speakers. The bass from the subwoofer was not punchy at all, rather a mellow room-filling base. It's quite large, it had to be placed below the desk.
I'm thinking about setting up a 4.1 system by adding a 2nd set of the same speakers to act as rear speakers.
I mean when someone asks about speakers most people recommend Klipsch (if you can afford them). Else, usually Altec Lansings, Boston Acoustics, or Monsoons are mentioned (and sometimes the Creative speakers sets which I don't like very much). Any comments / suggestions?
