For the last few days, when I do #2, it has a greenish colour?

Any doctors in here?

Yes, you definitely should, unless you're a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle. :p:p:p

Well. We are getting personal in OT today, aren't we....

Not a doctor... but 2 thoughts:

A) Are you eating lots of green stuff?

B) that happens to my kids when they are getting sick.

If it continues to trouble you, please see your doctor.

And please, don't give us any more details!

Nothing to be concerned about. Just your body getting rid of the excess.

No more teenage mutant ninga turtles in here? (Good one ISO!) ;)

So it's either too much iron or Pepto Bismal?

What things have a lot of iron in them?

Thanks!

Don't forget to eat a lot of red beets, for that lovely reddish colour :) BTW did you know ozzys put red beets on almost everything. Macdonalds even has a special burger with red beets on it-weird huh?

If you take multivitamins, stop for a day or so. That'll help make sure there is no excess iron.

BUT, if you wanna have some real fun, leave a big green turd in the toilet overnight. By morning, it'll have grown to about three times it's size. Charge admission for a peek at the "Incredible Hulk Turd"

It's called Spock poop. Common on Vulcan, it hurts like hell on the way out because of its pointy ears.

And Monica Lewinski had green poop at a certain time in her life. :)

Alright (D'Angelo)

No, it's perfectly (well, almost) normal.

<< I have consulted with a doctor, a physiologist and a microbiologist on this question, and the following summarizes their answers:
Healthy people can have green poop if they eat a diet rich in leafy green vegetables, or if they consume large quantities of food coloring (in ice cream, cake frosting etc.).
Green poop can also be caused by excess iron in the diet, from dietary supplements, for example. If the body does not absorb all the iron consumed, the iron may stain the poop green, the color of iron (II) salts. Ordinarily, the green color may be masked by the normal brown poop color, but if digestion is thrown off by illness so that bilirubin is less concentrated in the intestine, the green color may become apparent. This can happen when a person is afflicted with diarrhea.
Green poop in sick babies may come from iron in baby formula not being properly absorbed, or by green pigments in bile salts (again, green from iron).
