Dark by 6pm now...

God I hate winter. Thanfully I work afternoons now, so I'm going in to work when it's light out, and only coming home in the dark. Worked too many days where zero of my after work time was spent in daylight.

because winter is coming and i love snow
i love the crispness of the air and the fact that is not hot or humid

perfection would be never getting over 85 and no humidity, dropping into the 50s at night

I need to get into winter activities/sports, so that I have a reason to look forward to snow.

At best, the only enjoyment I get out of it is snow drifting in large open areas.

I wouldn't hate winter if for a few things:
less snow (once in awhile it's alright), higher temperatures (snow isn't even possible), and more daylight.

I love the better moments of Fall - dry crisp air, clear nights, lows in the 50s, highs in the 60s or 70s.
We had a terrific stretch of days like that here in Ohio, but we're getting into a stretch of 30s at night, 50s/low 60s in the day, and I'm already pissed.

It's getting dark earlier, we still have to "fall back" an hour so that's going to get worse, it's too flipping cold to enjoy running in the morning, and the decision matrix has to be created again. It's not too cold for this or that, but not cold enough for this article of clothing (running clothes - i've still been in only shorts and tshirt, i overheat real easy but it takes a bit to warm up. dead of winter upper 20s is easy to dress for, though I absolutely abhor running in those conditions. Winter air is too damn dry - when it's also cold, that just means the taste of blood in the back of my throat and a scratchy feeling the rest of the day.

Point of reference: It was 85F today, not a cloud in the sky, RH of 6%, and I am wearing shorts. OP, head down to the lake to catch a nice breeze.

That's the thing I hate about winter, barely no sun light. Pitch black when I get to work and pitch black when I get out, does not matter if I'm working 8 hour days, 12 hour days or 12 hour nights. Can go months without actually seeing the sun, and like a week without seeing daylight at all.

Summer is awesome, when it's bright out past 10pm and sun comes up at like 4am. Except going to bed when the sun is coming up feels kinda weird. 😛

ya fuck that - I had to plant 8 trees yesterday in 90 degree heat. winter is most definitely not coming around here.

I realized this after riding to work on my motorcycle on Friday with only my tinted visor. No working late that day...

It was beautiful here this weekend. Temps in the low 70s along the coast. Still gets dark early though.
