Dans Chocolates is giving 50% off with a coupon code. This is the best offer I have seen for Dan's. Yeah - they make really good chocolates.

Velvet Heart Box with FREE Valentine's Carnation Bouquet (26 pieces) for $50 - 50% off = $25. Shipping (Delivery by 2/13) is about $8 for me.

*#&@$!
I just spent over $70 for 2lb +1lb free valentine's day chocolate from fanniemay.

This offer does not apply to any of the Dan's Gift Baskets or the velvet heart shaped boxes.

so how did you get the velvet box??

and you should mention that you ahve to order a pound of chocolates and THEN they'll email you a code

you don't need to order 1lb. there IS a code which you can use to get 50% off.

and velvet box is their main homepage.
BTW, bonk102 as a golden member you should be able to figure all these out.

My box of Dan's Chocolate just arrived. It was boxed securely, but no cool stuff to keep it cold. Also, there was no billing statement in it. Fortunately, I was there to accept the package.

Even with the discount, the cost is still very high.
1lb Original $33
50% discount -$16.50
Fed Ex S&H $8
--------------------
Total $24.50 or $0.67 / piece

I taste a dark chocolate. And yes, it was good. However, I don't think it was worth the price I paid for. Personally, I can't tell the difference between Godiva & Dan's except that Godiva has better packaging. Living in San Francisco area, I probably could buy just as good quality locally for that amount.

Of course, taste is a very subjective matter. So, if you have $$$ to spare, why not give it a try. Otherwise, use that money to buy 3 lbs of See's or 24 1lb Chocolate bars!

Good Luck.
