Generally when one does this they know their opponent is a freaking pansy and is making a point. There was a freaking lady one time that had me in a corner wielding a 2x4 she pounded nails into. I was 17 or 18 and she was a freaking alcoholic and thought I took her son or something. I let her take her swing and took a few nails through my hand. She then passed out. It was better to get her to strike when I knew it was coming rather than try to get away and get a random shot.

I pretty much can guarantee had that guy made a second strike they'd busted his ass up. That's the way it goes though, there is no 'fair fight'...that other guy was a jackass anyway from my understanding of how this went down.
