So I was looking at the 5D... I can probably get it for $1800 after rebates. I can get a 30D for $900 after rebates.
Been looking at the reviews. The 5D and 30D both have the same dynamic range (shocked me) and almost the same amount of ISO noise

The 5D
Pros:
Slightly better high ISO
LARGE viewfinder
Higher resolution, more detailed photos
Cons:
Twice as expensive
Will need to purchase more lenses for full frame. New lenses must also be very high quality.
No more Dynamic Range than 30D
If purchased, cannot sell my XT because I'd still need it for telephotos.
The 30D
Pros:
Cheaper by $900
If purchased, can sell my XT.
Same (even wider) Dynamic Range than 5D
Excellent high-ISO noise
Same sensor as the old 20D <- huh?!?!
Can keep all my current lenses, won't have to buy new ones
Blazing fast 5 fps
On-board flash can be used as a AF Assist Lamp
Cons:
Smaller viewfinder
Lower resolution, photos will not be as detailed, less cropping room
GAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
